Yes, your dealer install was very reasonable. But one has to try to be self sufficient.... well perhaps just once!
The brake spash shield #40 torx screws were nasty. They now are bedded into lots of anti sieze. I will replace them (6) when I replace the rotors and pads (EBC), which are now on order. I will be placing the rear rotors calipers, pads and hardware. Also on order.
The Koni's have a cartridge retaining nut which requires a pin wrench to tighten. Not something that everyone has in their tool box. Not something that is readily improvised!
I figured out what the white plastic washer is that drops over it is for. It protects the bump stop from getting cut when the retaining nut, with holes, is driven onto it.
