So there has been a lot posted about reliability lately, I'll tell you my story.

94 900S 2.3NA, 70K miles, had it since new. Has never left me stranded, worked perfect through hard NE Ohio winters and unbearable Texas summers. Change the oil myself every 5K w/Mobil 1 and try to do regular maintenance myself. I have had the following done:

Water pump changed early on, under warranty.
Wife hit a big pothole, cracked the oil pan :(
30K, New tires, original Pirellis tread seperated.
30K service at dealer, ~$550 USD.
50K, serpantine belt and upper radiator hose at dealer, ~$175 USD.
50K, new battery, Sears International ~$110 USD.
60K, New exhaust system (Ohio winters :) and brakes at about 60K miles, ~$650 USD
60K service, did it myself, ~$100 USD in parts, and ~$25 for the Haynes book.
70K, New tires, old tires were ok, but tread was scary in the rain.
70K, Alignment at dealer after new tires $69.

I have a minor seaping of fluid at the shift shaft, but it does not even show up on the garage floor, so I just live with it. All in all, this has been a great car, fun to drive and very reliable. And this board is the best, I lurk here and not only get motivated to do my own work, but get great advise on how to do it. I know there are some bad experiences out there, just wanted to promote a good one.

James.
