CD Changer / Radio Wiring

I am fitting a Clarion cd changer using the wiring that comes from the factory pre-installed. A previous owner has disconnected the factory wiring where it joins the back of the radio unit.
I have had a quick look and it is not obvious how to gain access to the back of the radio so I can reconnect the factory wiring - any tips as to how to do this? (Haynes manual is on order!).
Thanks in advance,
Quentin
