Using the mirror out of a '95 Caddy DeVille (bonus is that it also has the electronic compass). Got the mirror for $20! Had to mount it on the windshield (had to go back for the mounting plate since the standard ones you get at NAPA don't fit). Ran the wiring (just power from the accessory line, and ground) from the fuse box, up the A piller, and across the front of the headliner.
Now I have a hole where the old mirror went. I plan on installing the homelink system there (also out of a Caddy).
BTW, I tried using the existing mounting for the mirror (I got another Saab mirror and was going to cut and weld the Saab mount onto the Caddy mirror). The attachment structures for the mirrors were different enough that it would have turned into a major project (and I might have dammaged the Caddy mirror).
The mirror is fantastic!
If anyone wants to do this, I have schematics and calibration instructions for the compass. I can scan and email them if interested.
