Dean-
I was told by the service rep. the rear O2 sensor was the primary component to determine the fuel/air mixture because they weren't sure if it was the cat. or O2 sensor causing my check engine light to come on. The code they pulled was P0422 which, according to AllData, indicates "three way cat. converter defective". So based on his "knowledge", I had them replace the rear O2 sensor since I was in a rush to go on a five hour drive. Well, the light came back on two days later for the same code. The second time I brought it in, they admitted it was the cat. so I told him I wanted a refund of the $300+ I spent on the O2 sensor and he said he thought it wasn't "warranted".
I felt I was misinformed so that I would make a revenue repair when they could've done things properly the first time, albeit a warranty (and less $$$ revenue for them) repair.
