I would not change the cap and rotor, just wash in hot water with dish soap, rise, shake and bake in the oven at 210 for 40 minutes and air cool. If the surface has deteriorated, put on some amourall classic, bake, cool and wipe off the excess. The armourall leaves a good dielectic film.
You can do the same with the cables too. Don't forget to keep the coil face clean too.
I did this for years and years. Yes I sometimes get flamed for this. But the point is not to throw out serviceable parts just because they need to be cleaned. No you don't want to pay a machanic to wash things. So this is a DIY option.
