I make a list of all the things I can't or don't do myself and have them do just those things. Sometimes I bring it to a Saab specialist in a neighboring town because they do a better job and cost less but the Saab dealer is 5 minutes from my house.
The funny thing is; the Saab dealer is onto us. When I tallied up the charges for just the pieces like change tranny fluid, or flush cooling system, it was almost as much as the entire service. I'm sure they padded because they knew what I was doing. Makes me like Saabworks in Milfort NH all the more. ps. I tallied the charges before the Saab dealer started any work and pulled it out of there because it was plain robbery on their part.
