The AL-DF8 works ok, but it only has 2channel RCA output. The default wiring for the device outputs RightFront and RightRear, which gives you fade control, but no stereo. You could re-wire the 8pin output so it puts out RightFront and LeftRear, then split the RCAs according to Front and Back (putting LeftRear into both LeftRear and RightRear inputs on your amp). But that would rotate your soundstage 90degrees so right is front and left is back. Fade control is important for adjusting the subwoofer volume, it offers a little more controllability than the "loud" function - especially if you listen to a wide range of music. But stereo sound is important too - try listening to "Whole Lotta Love" with only the right front speaker and you'll see what I mean. I think the best solution for this is to wire RightFront & LeftFront, split the RCAs for the rear inputs on your amp. Then set the gain low and the crossover high for your front speakers so you don't blow them when you use the "loud" button to turn up the bass. The only way around this would be to control the fade and balance from the amplifier instead of the head unit, but I don't know if any amps actually have that capability. Good luck!
