There are no EGR's on the Saabs.
Did you clean the injectors? Suggest Techron Concentrate to clean the injectors and the combustion chambers. There could be some uneven fueling of the cylinders. A lean cylinder could increase NO. If never used the Conentrate before, two treatments might be required to remove deposits.
NO is created more in high compression engines. Turbo's are not high compression. The first stage in the CAT converts 2NO to H2 O2, then the O2 reacts with 2CO in the second stage to produce 2CO2.
Was your engine and CAT well warmed up prior to the test. Have you been on enough hiway miles to allow on boost soot to be burned out of the CAT? If you were on boost on the way to the testing station, the first stage of the cat could have been compromized.
Plugs in good shape?
You only have the one sensor on the 95SET. It makes sure that there is a proper mix going into the CAT but does not know what is coming out of it.
Any split vac line hose ends. Check the one to the MAP sensor on the RH shock tower brace black steel tube.
How has the morning starting been?
Power and boost good?
MPG's good?
Who installed the O2 sensor? I installed one my self and I did not make it super tight. I had problems with it about 8 months later. The contact resistance from the sensor body to the down pipe was high and causing problems. This can probably be measured with a good meter. The exhaust provides the signal ground for this all important sensor.
When you replace the sensor, was this because it was dead. Perhaps it and the cat got posioned. (octane boosters?)
Was the ECU faulted at the time. When mine ECU went into limp home mode, the ECU resets at the dealer did not work. They had to remove the battery power to get it to wake up and re adapt. Any check engine lights lately?
