shop where they have the Tech 2 scanner and have them read the fault codes. 50K miles on the original plugwires is not that much. Hopefully you replaced cap and rotor with Bosch OEM. Plugwires though should be Bougicord brand and plugs preferrably NGK. (It's a mess, I know)
On a 96 and up car with OBD2 emission standard they can also read each cylinder how it's performing.
You could have a lean misfire because of a bad Oxygen sensor or a partially bad injector.
Some problems can be cured with a good injector cleaner poured in the tank.
