I have found that wires can be washed, baked dry and dress with ArmourAll classic. They seem to last forever or until they get so aged that they are stiff and crack. But modern wires resist this age hardening pretty well. I also wash, bake and dress the caps and rotor. Clean the coil face too, but you will have to simply use some cnventional methods.
Make sure that you have resistor type plugs if that is what is the original spec. The ignition system is quite basic. So any good quality wire set should do.
I have decumented details on the cleaning in the past. Search...
Some think this is silly. But went you live out in the country and your ignition system gets bad, restoring things with some cleaning can save your bacon. Once it is working well, replacing the old parts with new seems rather silly.
