1998 and newer uses a factory Synthetic gearbox oil and can be retrofitted to your car, avail at your Saab dealer. However to change you have to run some thru it to clear the majority of the dino oil. You should change the gearbox oil every 30K, but Saab says its "filled for life"...whatever!
If you have any seeping oil now, it will leak with synthetic, so fix leaks first. I have a seeping gasket on one of the drivers, so I just change with Castrol 10w30 which is what the factory used....but the synthetic is supposed to make a "night and day difference" in shift smootheness...esp in cold weather.

Other than the pulley, you may want to change the smooth pulley above the crankpulley as well....not as prone to failure as that little one is, but its another cheap plastic GM pulley, so go figure! Sounds like you're up to speed on your Saab major service schedule which is excellent. I cant think of much else!
I've had Saabs since 1986 and they have always been great cars beyond 150K miles as long as you stick to Saab's great preventative maintenance schedule! Good work...nice to see another dedicated Saabguy.
