The non-turbo NG900's had a system which injects air into the exhaust at startup to decrease startup emissions. You probably hear it come on and off as the car warms up.
There is a black plastic valve with two large hoses to it and one small vacuum hose located in the driver's side front corner of the car, by the bottom of the radiator. This valve opens when the air pump (basically just an expensive leaf blower!) runs to allow air to pass into the exhaust manifold. It closes when the pump goes off to keep exhaust from running back into the air pump.
The heat from the exhaust and radiator over time often cause this plastic valve to deteriorate and crack. So you probably have a crack on the exhaust side of this valve, or could be simply a broken hose, but the valve cracking is very common.
The valve is cheap (about $30 at the dealer) and pretty simple to install. The hissing poses no immediate threat/danger other than making noise.
Hope this helps,
Nick
