transmission options (long)

i replaced the transmission once in the 2 years that i have owned my 1996 900 SET. that was my fault for being too agressive with it. i had to replace the engine due to a product called ring seal, which caused the engine to lose oil pressure and destroyed the crankshaft and the rods. ringseal is reimbursing me though for the costs. now a week later after having the car back, transmission fluid is leaking, and i barely made it to the garage today. all the transmission fluid leaked, and it was extremely stiff when shifting. i must say, i tend to accelerate fast sometimes, but i do NOT slam the gears like i used to. i am sick of saab tranmissions. they are too delicate. are there any options for rebuilds with aftermarket or stronger parts besides the $15,000 racing transmission from sweden? any advice would be appreciated. the transmission alone is giving me thoughts of selling it.
