Shocks: You can spend $570 and down for a set of four. You need to shop around on the net, or open a post with subject affordble shocks for a 1994 900S and see who can help. Many of the online Saabnet sponsors will list shocks for your vehicle.
Get that drip of oil on your finger tip, from the bottom of the bell housing, and smell it. Engine oil will smell a bit like fuel. Trany oil smells rotten.
They may have test driven your vahicle and dumped the clutch at higher RPMs and hard thottle to see if it was prone to slippage. It might be less than new but quite serviceable.
The clutch work will cost $800 more. So thats why you replace the rear seal when you have such high labor costs to pull the trany. The new repalcement engine seals are redesigned.
So don't worry about the clutch and leak for now.
