Depends what's stuck.
You should be able to lever the lock out, but protect the glovebox with tape and/or wrap tape round the flat bladed screwdriver and go slowly.
It may be that the lock is jammed, but once the lock is out, you get a little more access to the mechanism.
I assume that your glovebox is made the same way as mine (1997 UK car) - and on mine it didn't need a great deal of force to get the lock out. I did still mark the plastic, but this was under where the lock fitted and so cannot be seen when a new lock is fitted.
I still have a glovebox without lock in the garage so can advise further if you get the lock out and still can't open it.
