I pondered the same questions one year ago and then decided to buy one. I have a 900SET and the car has a little more noticable power (notice I said little). I think I have heard 7 - 11 hp gains with the Saab stainless system. The car was not that much louder, that was until the packing in the muffler was bedded (about 3K miles) and the temps dropped. Cold air is denser and sound travels better. Is it bad? No not really, but from inside the car I think it could use a center resonator to quiet things a little, outside the car it sounds great. Does it sound like the older 900 turbos? No, it is louder and much deeper in tone. The older 900s has the sweetest burble ever and this exaust does not replicate that.

The tip comes with it, but it's a larger tip (I think 3") and I did not install mine because it "advertised" the exaust. It DOES NOT burn your rear bumper cover without the tip, although you may notice a little carbon depost on the bumper which wipes off.

The install is simple if you have the tools and common sense. I would say 1/2 hour to 2 hours, but this depends on tools, skill and how badly the old exaust is rusted together. I had to cut mine out with a saws all.

Is it worth the money, yes. After all it is stainless and it will be the last you ever put on, and yes, there is the extra power. I'm surprised that Saab sell this so cheap as a dealer item.

Good luck.
