If so, you could have a leaking head gasket (V6-gaskets). Also look for steam coming out of the exhaust. Observe both oil and water levels for changes either increasing or decreasing. Hopefully it IS residual oil observed in your fill tank, sometimes on engine rebuilds the head gaskets are nor sealed/seated or torqued properly. We just went through this on my neighbor's '66 Corvette. It was a leaky head gasket, and was promptly replaced by the engine rebuilder.
