Even though I own an SET, I have to agree with you guys on the pleasure of a v6. My only V6 ownership experience was with my '89 Taurus SHO, and I found that engine to be far nicer to live with than the 2.0t in my SET. The dual-stage intake on the SHO provided a nice rush of power at 4k that's very similar to the rush of power when boost finally builds at 3k in my Saab. The SET gets better highway mileage, but it should since it has a smaller, less powerful engine in a lighter car. I really miss the 7k redline of the SHO, running to redline was a treat for the ears. I think a good V6 of ~3 liters displacement is close to the ideal compromise engine.
Financial prudence may win out, but I'm seriously considering replacing my SET with the new Acura 3.2CL Type S, with 260hp, a 6 speed and torsen limited slip differential. We shall see.
