I had one of mine removed for the installation of a toddler seat. As you can tell, they are not intended to be removable, so the process is not very easy. First, release the rear seatback using the key. On the back side of the rear seatback, you can feel two small holes directly below the bars for the restraints. Take a very small flathead screwdriver so not to make a large hole and punch through the grey seatback cloth that covers the holes. By feel, release clips that hold the restraint bars in while pulling up on the headrest. (You need at least 3-4 hands to do this).
A couple of caveats: 1. I have not had to put the headrest back in, and I am a bit concerned that it will not be easy to reclip. 2. the holes in the leather seat where the bars go through are not designed to be visible, so they are a bit unsightly and could be prone to tearing if something ever found its way in there.
Based on my experiences, it may be a task that you want the dealer or indie mechanic to do when you are in for an oil change, etc. if you don't get it right away.
Good luck - their removal will improve rear visibility somewhat.
