Your observations about the other electricals suggests a bad battery or poor battery connector functioning. Terminals need to be clean and tight, battery cells topped up with distilled water 2 or 3 times per year. Note that if the tops of the cells go dry, deposits bridging can cause shorts, hot spots and a battery explosion which will put acid all over the engine bay. If you haved the original battery, then its time for a new one, unless you really want to keep it until it causes significant hardship.
Make sure that you get a battery which has cells that you can open. Maintenance free batteries are a myth or a fraud, talk your pick.
Yes, you might have a DI problem, but with your lower miles, I would look for other problems as well. You could very well have a bad DI. You can install easily yourself. If you know someone with a ng900, borrow their DI for a few minutes.
The BCPR6ES11's will run cleaner that the 7's which get deposits.
