The clutches in these cars can get heavy without needing replacement; the input shaft splines and other items around there get gunked up. The real big signs are either slipping, or if it starts engaging way down by the floor. Squeaking could be as minor as the pedal pivots needing a little grease.
DI's average ~100K miles, yours went in the early range. I'm assuming they did the plugs at the same time, too.
Brakes pulsing could be a warped rotor, a minor problem, but get the brakes checked in case it's a sticky capiler that caused it.
Best idea is probably get a check-up before you go. Find a good indie shop nearby and have them look at it. You may also want to get the cooling system checked; at 75K, a flush/fill, check the hoses, and maybe a new t-stat are all really cheap insurance for a long desert drive.
Maybe carry two spares? (Just kidding, you can't do anything about 2 flats...maybe you used up all your bad karma on the last trip?)
good luck!
