Hey REM, I don't know for sure, but I think that my ATF has never been synthetic. Dealer has done them all since birth of the car, every 30k, so I guess that means dino. Should I switch to synth or is this the same can o worms as the engine oil debate?
In any case, just had it done 5k ago (normal change) should I wait 25 more k for the next change, then do the big flush instead, and should I switch to mobil synth at that point?
Also are you recommending local tranny shop because service dealer does exactly the same thing but for more $$$?
Finally, how much does that cost from a midas or indie type place (ballpark)? i think the Saab dealer said $150 and similar price for engine/injector flush also.
thanks and take care!
tom.
