I bought mine (5-dr A/T) from a Saab dealer 2 1/2 years ago with 53,000 miles and it now has about 83,000. I bought a 3-yr aftermarket warranty and probably broke even on it. I think the previous owner(s) derferred a good bit of maintenance, and I have spent some extra money getting it back into top shape, but it is in wonderful condition now (fingers crossed), looks and runs great, and I am very happy with it. No rust - the car was delivered to the original, owner in Hawaii, and I bought it during a very brief tour of duty in North Carolina just before moving back to Los Angeles. Light blue metallic paint isn't very common, so easy to find it in large parking lots. Plan to drive it into the ground.

Repaired/replaced:
front tires
Auto trans winter mode switch (warr)
serp belt and idlers (failed on the highway - lots of smoke!)
rear seal (warr)
pads (twice) and rotors (once)
DI cassette
turbo vacuum hoses (mangled by a cretin at JiffyLube)
both front axle shafts (partial warr)
each motor/trans mount at least once
water pump/hoses/cooling fan
battery
resolder wiring loom ground at ECU to cure "Check Engine" light (warr)

Upgrades:
4 Konis
SAS bar
sports exhaust
K&N filter

Might have done more with the engine (MBC, more induction mods, etc) if a 5-speed, but not sure where increasing engine toqrue begins to risk the auto tranny.

Gripes:
wind noise at speed
CD magazine skips on sharp bumps

/Geoff
