Although I love my Saab I'm just about to throw in the towel...It seems like every problem that I read about on theis board eventually happens to my very well maintained car...no kidding. Maybe I'm jinxing myself by reading this board! :)

I am very disappointed with Saab reliability. At 73,000 miles, I have had to replace (that I feel out of the ordinary):

1) Engine!! (1st engine seized due to oil pump failure at 58K miles-out of warranty :(
2) Starter Motor
3) Ignition Switch
5) DI Cassette
4) Boost Control Valve
5) Mid muffler
6) Strut Mounts
7) Serpentine Belt
8) Idler Pulley
9) Radio and SID
10) Transmission shaft seal
11) Clutch cable

So, last weekend, a new problem started... When I accelerated, and the boost went neared the red zone, the engine shuddered and bucked. I checked the vaccum hoses and the line that goes from the throttle body to the evaporative canister hose was crumbling...so I replaced it. It seemed to be better but then on Tuesday the erratic idling started up again and the engine just generally ran really rough. So I said oh no it must be the DI cassette. I ordered one from Eeuroparts.com yesterday and it arrived today thank god. Driving homw from work was scary b/c the car just bucked like a bronco all the way home! So I check the spark plug gap and it was okay. Put in the brand new Direct Ignition cassette and voila problem solved!

So pretty much everything that can go wrong has...so whats next?
