Swedish Dynamics Kevlar Clutch Installed Posted by SLAAB [Email] ![]() ![]() |
This is followup to my post last week. http://saabnet.com/tsn/bb/NG900/index.html?bID=71353
Just got my car back from the garage today with a new SD Kevlar Clutch installed. Replaced the tranny seals, fork sleeves and filled with Saab synthetic gear oil.
So far, the clutch pedal feels lighter than stock and the clutch seems to have a more progressive bite. Much easier to modulate on heel and toe downshifts for braking in turns. Haven't really had a chance to flog the car yet but looking forward to seeing how the clutch responds to my heavy foot.
There is a little noise (rattle? vibration?) when coasting in gear. We'll see if that goes away.
I'll be going easy on the car over the next 500 miles to bed the new clutch in and will post follow ups on how the clutch is doing.
