Tired of my MBC, though fun and good bang for the buck, I would like something I can "set and forget". So this leaves the option of several obviously more expensive ECU's on the market. Have any of you run them in your cars? Many advertise a 30-45 hp gain. Any that you would recommend for all around driving while still protecting the engine from fuel cut off, faster spool up more tractible?

Oh yeah this is for my 94 "guinea pig" test car, when it croaks I would like to use this on the 99 9-3 SE 5 spd. I bought the 9-3 last week for 12,750.00 (could not find a good 99/00 Viggen Coupe in any color but silly blue). My sixth Saab, after reading the somewhat disappointing reviews on the 03 9-3, I decided it was time to stock up on the old ones, this is what I should have done when I had C900 turbos. Oddly enough my 94 will run circles around the 99 model with 20 less horsepower, this is with the MBC off. Hmm, wonder if Saab fudged the numbers on the newer cars?

94 SET 5 spd. 3 door 107,000 miles (my "work" car)
modified sport exhaust
K/N AF
3" air box tube
cleaned up TT
Dawes MBC
brand new DI (thanks, Dean)

99 SE 5 spd. 5 door 48,000 miles (weekend and emergency car)
totally stock with new NGK plugs and Mobil 1 oil change
