Name that hose ->

I have had a rough idle on cold start problem recently, but only lasting about 10 seconds, so I'm not too worried (new plugs this year (NGK instead of the recommended Bosch), just did injector cleaner, haven't checked the battery yet). I pulled two plugs (cold) and they appear normal, light gray covered. I was digging around under the hood looking for problems, and have a few questions, neither alldata nor the saab shop manuals have a description of these.
Car: 900 SE V6 '95, 98,000 miles
1. On the throttle/intake tube, about 3" before the plenum, there is a large diameter (1 1/2") hose that intersects with it, connecting with a 90 degree plastic with "Ridges" to hold the tube on. WHen I pulled it off (kind of loose), some oil came out. what is this tube, and is oil in there normal?
2. Behind and below the throttle body tube, there is a small diameter hose connected to another hose (female->male) that seemed a little loose. When I disconnected it w/ engine on, the engine stumbled and ran rough, what is that, and how can I connect it so it does'nt come loose. I'm not sure if playing with these hoses solved the problem, this was last night, I'll have to check.
3. Should I just buy some hoses and start replacing all of these hoses as a preventative measure, cheap insurance, and something fun to do on the weekend?
Any other ideas on what could cause this?
Thanks to the BB
