You now have the problem narrowed down to an association with high loads on the accessory belt, caused by the A/C or alternator.
So with changing belt loads, there are changed loads on the bearings of the accessories as well. So this increased belt tention between the loading accessory and the crankshaft pully increases the lateral bearing loads on all shafts between the crankshaft pully and including the loading accessory itself. So that narrows it down, and the belt tensioner should be the last shaft on the soft side of the cranlshaft pully, so perhaps it is not involved, but other fixed idler pullies could be.
If the AC and alternator loads both cause the problem, then the one of these that is furhter along from the crankshaft pully is not the problem, so you might be able to rule one of these out.
With a cold engine, remove or slacked the belt so that it not on the crankshaft pully. Rotate the accessory shafts by hand looking for lack of smoothness when rotating, and any radial play or odd amounts of axial movement. Also check the idler pullies too.
Now you could double check that the belt is free of the crankshaft pullie and run the engine briefly to hear it by itself, but by your other descriptions there does not seem to be any point in doing that.
