Bit of confusion for a newbie

I am new to this BB (it's great!) and new to mods/DIY. Interested in the Dawes MBC - seems straightforward.
But, I am a little confused by terminlogy. Please help.
I have a 96 900SET. My confusion is with the BPC and the BPV.
Is the BPV the right angle black plastic valve near the battery that allows air from turbo outlet back to inlet? It is SOLELY actuated by manifold vacuum - right?
So the BPC is the electro-pneumatic switch at top left (looking into engine bay) of radiator. Has three lines - one is the WG actuator, the other is the boost supply, what is the third (it goes into cast aluminum inlet pipe)?
Finally, the BPC in no way controls the BPV - correct??? So installing the Dawes, I could remove the BPC supply and WG line and directly swap in the MBC.
Help is appreaciated... Rob
