I've no answer, but the fuel sender connects to the gauge in the instrument cluster and there are inputs/outputs for various functions that go from the cluster to the ecu. So the tank sender is sort of connected to the ecu if something were shorting in the cluster, probably a shot in the dark. The dealer should be able to connect a gauge to the fpr and read press. with different fuel loads to see if it varies.It would be interesting to know if symptom is present if you don't fill tank completely.
You might also try leaving the fuel filler cap slightly loose after a fill up to allow the tank to vent through the cap. If that solves the problem it would indicate a problem with the tank vent system. Or you might also try disconnecting the wire from the tank sender as this would isolate the gauge.
