In this case you want an inductor (coil) instead of a capacitor. Crutchfield calls them "low-pass crossovers" and they're to be installed between the head unit and the amp.
However, it's probably not necessary. The mid-bass speakers will only respond to a certain frequency range, and high-frequency signals sent to the speakers won't distort the bass the way that too much bass would overwhelm the highs on a 3.5" speaker. The fact that the Saab amp is a mid-bass only is, I think, just a matter of cost-savings (it's cheaper to design an amp for only a specific freq band) and power/heat savings.
But I'd still install bass blockers in the dash if I were you.
If you haven't already, learn how to turn the "Loudness" off on the head unit. (By turning it on with the "WB" button depressed, and cycling through the menus) This will give you a little more control over the bass without rattling the doors apart.
