check engine light question

Now for a question. I put on a TurboXS typeH blow off valve on today. Everything is hunky-dory and i'm making all sorts of "PSSSHT" sounds around town. Life is grand.
BUT...
I finish up my double rear swaybar install and get in the car to go on the test drive and i get a check engine light. Geez. The car was kind of idling low, but not that bad- it tends to do this anyway when i've had it running a bit before and it's still warm.
I let the engine run for a bit and decide to go for the test run anyway. The car is running fine and nothing is out of the ordinary that i can feel, hear or tell. It's a super foggy night out though, and the air is dense with water. Could that cause a problem? If the check engine light is just a "glitch", will it reset itself?
Oh yeah- i have a 1997 900SE turbo.
Thanks in advance.
