I have a '95 SE conv. and absolutely love it. Further, it has the V6 and again I have no complaints, 66k miles. I follow the advice and have the dealer change the timing belt on the 30k intervals (the first 3 changes are fully covered).
The most dramatic thing that has happened is I've had to change the alarm brain box, and that I picked up from Gold Wing. I've had it for 3 years now and done many of the usual things, brakes, exhaust (onto the SS sport exhaust now), battery, etc. I recently went to 17" wheels. I've never had anything major go wrong.
No complaints about the V6, in fact I love the passing acceleration from 50 to 80+. One thing to keep in mind it turbos aren't necessarily for everybody, expecially in sever climates. I live in IL also.
