Just Installed Hyperboost Dump Valve...

I noticed my old plastic Bosch valve had a tear in the rubber diaphragm approx 50% of circumference and it had been making odd sounds as of late (94SE, 110,000 mi.). Also, seemed to take a while to get boost back up between shifts.
After the 10 minute install (fits perfectly) a quick drive gives me the impression that the car now has better throttle response and less turbo lag, especially between shifts. What this means to the average driver is that the car is easier to drive in every day traffic, and it is no longer catastrophic to be caught in a gear one level too high. Of course I cannot say for sure if a brand new OE unit wouldn't have accomplished the same thing, but it sure looks pretty sitting under the hood.
Do I have to reset the ECU to get the most out of it considering my old valve was shot and my ECU got used to it?
