"Cross-drilled" rotors may look cool but they suffer from poor heat dissipation, higher chance of warping and cracking. It makes a lot of sense if you think about it.
The example I always give is the fact that Porsche Cup teams replace the factory standard "cross-drilled" rotors on their 911s with solid ones (of the same size, etc.) This is one of the very few safety modifications they are allowed to make in this spec racing series. The solid rotors have much lower rate of failure.
Draw your own conclusions...
