The reduced mass of the rotors makes them get hotter than a standard rotor. The holes vent gasses when repeated braking makes the pads so hot, that they float on the gases that the pads emit when that hot.
The drilled, dimpled or slotted rotors have less swep surface and you will have weaker basic braking effort. You do get a benefit if you are going to be getting the brakes very hot, but not for every day driving. The modified rotors can make noise, and make the pads wear faster.
Dimpled or slotted rotors are less prone to cracking than through drilled rotors. ATE power slot rotors have very little mass reduction and are probably a good affordable solution, but don't look as cool as drilled rotors.
Also, avoid competion pads. These designed to emit less gasses at high temperatures, and don't have good friction when hot heated up. As a consequence, that emergency stop, with cold brakes, that you have to make might not stop fast enough.
