I put in a tee in that location for the boost gauge as well. There is lo little flow to and from the guage, that it will not affect the MAP operation. Not the case with a MBC, lots of flow there.
My tee has a rubber elbow attatched that the 1/8" nylon could be slipped into. After a while I noticed that the guage was hardly responding and changed very slowly. The nylon had migrated with vacuum into the elbow and the end of the nylon tube was up against the rubber wall in the inside of the rubber fitting. Pulled it back out where it belonged and things started to work properly. I used a small nylon tie or two to compress the rubber and get a tighter fit.
