Alright, went out and checked all of the tubing and stuff to the MAP sensor and it was fine. I figured it was, because i've checked it a few times now.
I let the car idle, put the vacuum gauge off of the line that goes to my BOV and got a reading of 10-11"Hg. Seems pretty low, so i looked in the book that came with the gauge and it says:
"If the gauge reading at idle is steady but much lower than normal (5-13"Hg), this may be an indication of maifold system leak (intake gasket, vacuum devices or hoses, etc). Readings of 3-8"Hg below normal may be an indication of late ignition/valve timing or worn piston rings."
I found that interesting because one of the suggestions when i had low dyno numbers was that my timing could be retarded. And my mechanic said he had a hard time getting the timing right when my engine was put together again. So i'm looking in the direction of valve timing being off.
Now, to convince him that he might have to take my car apart again.......might be tough. Crap.
