enters the red zone. I have an MBC set under fuel cut off and car runs great-very quick, but under even moderate acceleration, at higher boost levels the engine begins to make a nasty chain rattle or possible detonation sound. It reminds me of the sound I used to hear when racing big bore (450cc+) dirt bikes on hot days right before my engine seized up. Is my turbo about to give out, or am I overiding a knock sensor feature though use of the Dawes device and bypassing the stock setup? I don't drive the car that hard (Saab shifters take the fun out of WOT runs), I just like the improved responsiveness with the MBC. Car uses no oil, no smoke either.
Have sport exhaust with resonator, new plugs, run premium gas, use Techron every 5,000 miles, Hyberboost valve, new DI, modified air box w/K&N drop in, TB smoothing. I have not removed the turbo silencer, or installed my Viggen intercooler yet. 110,000 miles/ Mobil 1. Anyone experience this?
