Just read the other part of your post, I pulled my seat last weekend, it was very easy to remove, 4 torx (T27? maybe T40? don't recall)and there's a gizmo to detach for the seatbelt if you want to get the seat out of the car, but you should be able to tip it up to access the switch w/o removing completely. getting it back in was not as easy, but not too difficult, you should have someone help who can push on the seat in order to properly line up the bolt holes so you don't strip them. Get them lined up, tighten them about 1/2 way, if lined up properly, they should turn very easily.
