I'm stationed in LaMaddalena, 1000 times more isolated than Naples. I brought my 95 900S here from the states.
There are lots of Saabs in Italy and plenty of service. I've been to Naples with my Saab since I've been here too. There is more than one Saab dealer in Naples.
Keep in mind, though, that Italian roads are rough, streets are narrow, and people here drive like maniacs. Despite my best efforts it only took 3 months for my car to sustain numerous scratches and scrapes. If your Saab is brand new and you're still making payments, you may rip your hair out over here trying to keep it in showroom shape. However, if its like mine....100K on the clock and paid for, but still in VERY sound mechanical shape, its really the perfect car here.
Another thing to consider is that Naples is the den of thieves for all of Europe. Thievery is a culture there and a convertible may attract people looking to "slash and grab". Just a word to the wise.
Enjoy your tour....its a spectacuar place.
