My 96 900turbo bulb burnt out. Realy rare for this to happen. I replaced mine with a spare from my local ac/radio shop. cost me about $1.00. It is a bulb mounted in a plastic base with wires coming out the bottom. The saab dealer wanted around $60.00 for the same part. There are two kinds of wattage so one type will work while the other will not. I was lukcy I had the right one the first time. It is realy easy to fix. The bulb is mounted on a plate that will slide away from the dash towards the seats. from there just cut the wires and pull it out of the mounting hole. Then insert the new bulb and use cramping units to connect the new wire together. You might have to make the hole a bit bigger depending on the bulb. Mine has been working now for close to 2years. When you are done it will look like factory unit. I don't know why a dealer can charge $60.00 for a $1.00 dollar part. Hope this helps.
