I think the only electrical connections to the system are power to the electric motor (the one that sounds like a shop vac) and to the solenoid vacuum valve on the firewall near the brake booster. You could try removing all the componentry between the electric motor and the exhaust manifold, and leave the motor to run on cold starts. It will make some noise unless you leave a bit of hose on it and pinch it off with a clamp of some sort. This may trick the computer into thinking that the system is running. My only concern would be that the computer expects the O2 sensor inputs on cold starts to be within a give range....which might be directly influenced by the extra air coming thru via this injection system. Won't hurt to try!
