I seem to be in the minority on this, but the SET's (or at least mine) have idle problems also. THis morning was typical: I start the car, it immediately goes to about 1800rpm idle. I back out of the garage, and go close the garage door. As I'm closing the door, I hear the idle jump up a notch, I get back in the car and it's now about 2100, steady as can be. As I drive to work, the upshift light stays lit between shifts and even when I lift off the throttle above about 2000rpm. Gradually the idle rpms move downward so when I get to work (~10 minutes) the car now idles at 1500rpm. I park and let the car idle for a minute while I gather my stuff and w/in 30 seconds the idle drops to normal, ~1000 rpm and stays there.
The problem is not a sticking throttle, it's due to the ECU telling the IAC to open further than it should. Pinching the hose to the IAC drops the idle immediately.
I think I've only run across one other SET that does this. Of course, it never does it when it's at the dealer.
