Hi folks:
Over the past weekend, I did my switch to Mobil 1 10/30W for the first time after 160,000 kms of dino. Being paranoid about leaks, I put a large cardboard under the engine. In any case, last night I noticed an oil patch on the cardboard - YIKES! On closer inspection (although somewhat difficult at night), I noticed that the oil was coming from the filter. I would appreciate if people could share their "leak" experiences with me. As well, what could cause the leak with the oil filter? I would like to be properly informed before I go back to the dealer who did the oil change. I am not sure if this has to do with me getting a low pitch whine/hum when the car is accelerating between 2500 - 2800 RPM.
Thanks alot!
Simon
