I already changed the tensioners(both upper and lower bearings shot) and have run the car. What I'm getting is a fluttering noise at about 1800 rpms and up. The noise is not the belt hitting the cover. After driving the car for 500 miles, I removed the cover again. Before aligning the timing marks, I gave a quick visual. I was able to rotate the upper tensioner (between cams 2+3) by hand (not enough tension). Then I aligned the timing marks, and I could not rotate the the upper tensioner. Is this normal? I guess it's going to take some patience to get it right, but I must say that I am incredibly happy with this car! The V6 rocks, and it's pretty straight forward to work on. Your advice is invaluable!
