Aftter 4 Saabs and over 1 million K I can honestly say I'll never buy another one after this last 96 900 SE. $400 in maintaince, Ha It's cost me amost $4,000 a year for the last two years! Power steering pump seized at 40,000K 2 O2 sensors went at 45k, vacum leaks that took dealer 4 trys to fix (under extended warrent), cam cover gaskets to be replaced every 60k because they start to leak, spark plug wires replaced at 100k at,(if you belive this!) $600.00 and only available at dealer, (V6) Battery replaced at 70K, muffler at 60k $300. Shall I go on. OH let us not forget the TCS, which if you follow this site at all, you will know has an annoying habit of acting up when the engine gets hot. ie. in the summer time. You will pull out into traffic and the dam TCS cuts in and leaves you no power just a a bus is about to run you over. If you want to spend the bucks that a new Saab will cost you, buy a Lexus or some else!
