I used the modulite. It requires that you wire it to the battery, it comes with a fuse. It's pretty easy to do. The hardest part is getting the red positve cable from the battery through the firewall (I snaked in from behind the glove box) than underneath the black plastic door sills. When getting near the back you have to a bit more weaving. Once you do that all you need to do is hook in the left, right, and brake with the little connectors that come with it.
The wiring took about 4 hours and the hitch about an hour once you get the bolts lined up.
The dealer will charge you close to $350 to install the harness so in my opinion the modulite is the way to go.
Do you have a big thing to pull? I used my 98 900SET to pull my 15' aluminum center console, it was tough on the clutch.
Good luck,
JohnSE
