I have a '97 SET Convertible and am going to start doing some of the performance mods outlined all over this BB.

I believe I already have a sport exhaust, but is there anyway to tell for sure? My exhaust appears to be stainless part of the way, from tailpipe past muffler, then looks like steel up to the exhaust manifold. Tailpipe has chrome end on it, muffler is a round muffler, not the normal flat one. So if there is a good way to tell for sure .....

Second on the list will be new plugs. Dean suggested a NGK in one of his posts, just want to make sure those are appropriate for a '97 SET.

Then we will be on to removing the turbo compressor discharge silencer, grind/port the throttle body transition casting, and installation of an airbox/filter. I selected the one from Engstrom http://engstrom.net/cgi-bin/SoftCart.100.exe/scstore/p-E4900500.html?L+scstore+ntvc1899ffa21ca2+1048887724 and have ordered it. Question with this one, anyone recommend or not recommend using this one. I know it is quite a bit more than simply modifying the air box with 3" pipe and K&N, but in my mind is well worth the extra money for a solid design. Any comments?

That is where my budget will stop for now, but ECU will be next, followed by IC at some point.

Finally, anyone have any general ideas of what added HP will come with each of the above mods?

Here is to getting to 200+ HP ....
